The day of back to TW is getting close and close.

Many things were happened here.

Something's good, something's not so good.

Met many many people here.

Some people have good memory, some people have not so good memory.

It is life. Even we have burden on our shoulder.Or we need suffer many things.

Or so admire others' life. That's still not your life.

And the truth is, life will go on.

That's the basic law of life.

We still need to hold smile to face it.

Even though we may meet many judgments.

But others cannot live for you, just like you cannot live others' life too.

Just face it.

Fantasy had gone.

Life will go on.................... I will miss this. My America dream.

Last day....

It was the last day of three of us would stay together.....

It was yesterday....

Everybody had different plan and we would not meet together again in America.

So that's it. We had good time.

Some person told me that where the story began, where the story would end.

And I think this is probably would be the end of story.

L and J came to our house, J bought duck and L cook for us.

It was so happy when we cook together and enjoy our time together.

After dinner we went to ice-skating at downtown SJ.

I guessed this was my second time to do ice-skating.

First time I did it with some of my college classmates.

This time I tried to remember some skill of ice-skating.

I had to say that I was not good at this specially I had O shape of leg.

And the shoes were not as good as in TW.

I kept moving my feet left and right and I was lucky that I could move a little bit.

Mike was the best of skater in all of us.

S was a talented skater and L tried very hard to do it.

I don't know why, but I felt so happy when I skated on the ice.

I felt that I like a child... flying on the ice......

After I saw video of my skating. I felt myself looked like retarded .... haha...

Bowling game

Yesterday night was friday night, we went to SJUS to play bowling, video game and ping-pong.

Before that we ate dinner and play poker which punished by push up.

Thanks for James and Mike for preparing our dinner.

It's really delicious.

Wow..... yesterday night was a very health night.

It's so amazing that you can see many kinds of entertainment environment in SJUS.

I am so admire them and it's not expensive. One man for two game's bowling, only cost us 7.25 bulks.

Sometimes, I would go blowing with some of my best friends in Taipei.

Basically, I am not good at this game. Basically I don't think bowling is a sport.

Anyway, we had fun.

I always try to treat this game as a way to practice straight line.

After that we went to play some video game and ping-pong.

Oh... ping-pong....

I play ping-pong since senior high.... but I don't know why I cant control my physical strength yesterday.

I always play over the court. haha......

Anyway, James seems the best of us and he kept staying on the court.

Damn.... I have to say that I don't like the feeling of lose.

I mean I'm not always a winner but I am a fighter..... goal catcher, if I quote Dan's words.

I will focus what I want and pay my effort to get it.

I really really don't like that feeling as a loser... haha

Anyway..... through this game... I realize one thing inside me... and I try to figure out why or what should I do for this kind of situation.

Not only for the position of loser but it also remind me when I always want to be a winner.

I mean like a leader in a team or represent of a company or as someone important...

Damn,... I felt myself so arrogant.....

I hate that......I cannot control my desire well.........

I mean that I don't want to pour my desire off..... because that's why I keep spurring myself to be best.

But I got to learn how to control it than it control me, right?

It's an attitude that how you treat people and also a art of balance.

I hope that I can keep in my mind of the doctrine of mean....

Treat your work as final work

This is what my friend told me today.

This is a very very good attitude about working.

And this sentence recall me back to 10 years ago.

I went to a pastor's speech at Taipei.

I still could remember that all his speech had one simple message which is "Attitude decides your depth".

Attitude decides your depth, he kept saying that, attitude decides your depth.

This sentence went into my heart and I kept thinking about it.

Today my friend said a similar sentence to me.

I guess she felt I was not enjoy what I'm doing now.

Or she was trying to do something she was not familiar before.

I could see that she put many efforts on it and I believe she can do well.

I admit that after this years' working.

I fell into a kind of situation that I felt that I kept doing similar thing now.

Maybe I can improve my skill or thought more.

But somehow I lost my interests on it.

I need something more...... more....

It also remind me that last time when I met Wang-hua.

People who full of passion are always remind me something.......

Today is our last two dine together party.

I felt that time goes so fast.

I still remembered that first time we met Charles and Sophia.

Charles took us to Cantonese restaurant at 19 Ave..

Wow..... It had been 5 months already.

What is my next step?

Where I should go?

What I should choose?

This kind of questions keep floating on my mind.

I can see that in everybody's face were full of happiness and sadness.

That's another sweet and bitter thing.

Snowboard & skiing contest in AT&T park

Like I said, there was a Snowboard & skiing contest in AT&T park yesterday.

I went there with my friends.

It cost me 27 bulks.

Anyway, it's a really good experience specially I will not go snowboarding this time.

Man.... I wish I had more money.

Anyway, I will use pictures and videos to explain this event.

There were two different courts.

One is for BMX(bike which is used for technique performing) and skateboard, another one is for snowboarding and skiing.

We went to BMX first.

There were some support vender's tent there.

And I won one T-shirt from one tent,sun glasses form NAVY and drank many free energy drink.

I needed to do fifteen hang then I can get the NAVY sunglasses.

I don't need that but I want to try.

I did and it hurts my belly now.

After stay there for T-shirt and drink.

We moved to another court inside of AT&T park.

This is the snowboarding field.

It was so cooool.......

I think high score is depend on what kinds of move you did and how hard of doing it.

We also met Jane and Rumi.

But I think that I will not be allowed to put their picture here, haha.

And like usual, we will do something stupid.

Today's happy karaoke part 2

It's so interesting today.

We arranged today to go to skiing and snowboard contest at AT&T park(It's a baseball court).

On the way to our friend's studio(It's a kind of apartment and we decided to drive another car to SF).

We thought that it might be a good idea to ask Hermit joined us.

He said OK and after we arrived his house on the sea.

His roommate was cutting his hair and she mentioned that they will go to Karaoke in JP town tonight.

And we were so glad to join them even though we went Karaoke yesterday already.

I mean at least that I was so happy.

The contest in AT&T park was so good. I will post it here tomorrow.

In there I met Jane and Lumi and asked them to join us too.

After we arrived there at eight clock.

We were surprised that there had many of her classmate in there already.

Before she mentioned that it might be three people only.

Her classmates are Artists.

It was so coooooool.

I love and admire artist.

That's part of my favorite thing on this world.

And more people mean more fun.

I saw they were kind boring.

Even thought I was starving(I had stomachache during that time)

So I sang a very excited cantonese song for them.

That one is a movie soundtrack and it's a good song for opening.

It helps people get excited about it. And they did.

I felt so happy.

Even thought it was first time to see most of them.

I might feel a little bit nervous but I'm still happy.

I sang many songs again, haha.

It helps me release some stress. Hope their ears were not hurt so much by my voice.

And I was so happy to see Jane stayed with us, too.

It was so long I had not seen her since I moved to SJ ba.

She used to treated me very nice and I always went to church with her.

I like her so much in friend's way( She had married).

And it was so good we met her and spent good time together.

Like I said yesterday that God know my limits and God help me when I need it.

I felt that I am full of grace now.

It was not only because so many fun here but also so many good friends surround me.

Thank you, my Jesus.

Today's happy Karaoke

Every time I had trouble or want to do something so bad, something will happen and it will save my ass.

Why I said that, because since I had arrived U.S. like 5 month.I want to sing Karaoke so much.

Hey don't laugh at me, I am Taiwanese.

We love Karaoke.

But it is so hard and usually there is no good Taiwanese song at all.

I need to thanks for James that he said there is one good place and he actually will go there today.

Before that he and mike cook for us. It's so nice.

Because James mother sent him some chinese medicine which is used for cooking.

And he cook one very good soup for us.

After dinner time, we went New-peters' Karaoke with him.

And another happy thing was I met some of my friends there.

They were all girls.

They went there for celebrating one girl's birthday.

I felt so happy and almost want to join them.

Actually I went their room several times and there is one girl who can sing very good song.

I mean you can feel something in there.

We sang a lots of songs. Actually me and Stephanie sang most of the songs.

HA!HA!......

I do feel happy and thanks for this good friends.

I knew some of them don't like singing. They showed up just for supporting me.

I knew it. Truly thank you, everybody.

Life because you guys became more beautiful.

And thanks for God too. Because you know where is my boundaries and he will show up when I need him.

Because love, so this world rotates.

My friend...

I heard you said that you make a decision of you will move to another place and got a high rise of position.

I am truly happy for you.

But I had to say that I feel sad too.

SInce we had so many good time that we spent together.

I realize that it became a habit that called you out every time.

And I'm really used to that you just showed up.

This few month I believe we all changed a lot.

You had new position and move to another place and I chose to stay at US for six months.

I do miss old time and after hearing that probably that's the last chance we can hang out.

I had to say I'm shock. But I'm truly thank you for your companionship and you taught me a lot.

I am appreciate it.

Hope you have better and better day than before.

Hope that I can see you soon.

Good-bye is just a part of life and most important is we do treat every moment as gold.

Hi everybody.

It's really nice to leave message at here again.

This time I want to share about our daily life at San Jose.

Before this, I need to explain that I never really cook when I stay at Taiwan.

Of course I cook instant noodle before, but real dish. never.

After I got here, I mean SJ. I feel so many interest in cooking.

Like now, I cook three meals a day for four to five people.

I cook for everybody before in SF. That's like seven people.

During that time, I invited a student in AAU to share some works or course in our loft.

It's pity I left there, because I had invited Astro's designer to share with us too.

But anyway I had good life at here too.

Like I said, I cook three meals a day.

Usually mike will cook with me.

And Li-wei do cook too.Oh man, he is good at instant package.

Like a master.

He and Stephanie will help us do dish washing.

I want to share part of my joy about here.

So we took video and share with people.

Hope you can feel our happy at here too.

Naoto Fukasawa in connecting 07(ARTICLE 1)

We met Naoto at connecting 07 in SF. He was one of major speakers. Most of his speech was about his work and why or how he think he want to do design like that.He tried to explain it to everybody. But time is short.

He was not most attractive speaker on the stage. But everyone is touched by his work. Although he is quite famous now.He still try his best to do good design.After speech, I want to talk with him and maybe ask him to sign for me on his book.I bought it last month, Sept..

I didn't see many people want to talk with him. I mean like us. We looks more like design fan than designer. It's fun.And why not? We went to his seat, we introduced ourselves and try to discuss questions with him.I didn't ask many questions ,like I always do. Actually I wrote several questions and tried to discuss with him before. But I didn't ask all of them. I tried to act more polite and gave him more respect.But I still asked him several questions.

First of all, I asked one of my biggest question now. I asked him that sometime, I feel tired. Because I did many design which I felt meaningless. I apply many style but just for appearance.

Before he answer we should know that Naoto is famous about doing minimal design which is full of Japanese culture inside.I asked this question was kind respect what he did and maybe he would agree with my point.It's a little bit tricky.If he agreed with my point which was very shallow, I would feel sad. I apologized that I asked this kind tricky question.

Naoto answered that question in a different way.I didn't recored every words he said precisely.I just want to express what he said to us.

He said we should build one ability that allow us express our idea precisely.Once we got good idea, but we don't have good sense of beauty or good forming ability, idea will disappear.Which is very pity.And he encouraged us that keep practicing and experience more.I shouldn't feel too rush of myself and take baby steps.One day, my switch will turn on.Then I can realize.

I felt that I'm relieved. And I know more about what I should do now.It's simple. Just keep walking.Recently, I just finished one presentation here. Of course I didn't do presentation like I always did.I only do design.And I felt desired that I want to change my design or execute process.People who know me closely will know that I do that all the time.It's kind normal to me.Because I feel boring easily. If I kept doing same thing.And I am lucky that the company which I stay provide me a Wacom tablet with touch screen. So I tried to apply it to my process.Even though I spent more time to finish it.And I am not satisfied what I did yet.But I do feel good.Because it's first time that I use that device and apply it in project. This is first story.

The second story is that I met many good designer here and they showed me many of their design and sketches.I felt that designer here is more concerned about sketches than Taiwan's designer.And I do see some good sketches were pasted all over the wall.So I can compare it.I felt that it is true.When you see many many sketches on the wall.The good one will reveal it automatically.I am not saying good sketch means good design.But good skill's sketch will be more outstanding and attractive.I think this is what Naoto said why we should sharp our skill.Many things are like strategy than a random behavior.

This one is also reflect to what Naoto answered about another question.

I heard people asked him that why he did supernormal.He use a metaphor to answer.Like a seesaw, when every designer on this world try to make stuff outstanding and aggressive.Naoto think he should do something different with others.So he chose another side which was minimal and normal.Maybe some people will think it is easy when they saw what Naoto did.Like Milan furniture exhibition last year what Naoto showed in there didn't get many echo. But for me. It is more difficult.Because it required more sense of beauty and more precise forming ability.It is not easy when you reduce stuff from your design.So I think if Naoto answered that question in east way(more philosophy thought), people here will not understand.But they can understand strategy. It's more easy for west sociality.It is interesting if we compared same question where he answered it in different place.We can discuss that later.

Past three days, I was really really busy.

I paid 495 dollars for student pass then I can join connecting 07 congress.

It is a really big design seminar which is host by IDSA.

It is held at different country every two years.

We were lucky that it was held at SF. So we decided no matter how expensive it is we need to be there personally.

I am so glad that I made this decision and I really enjoyed this event.

I met many many people at both seminar and after party even my college classmate Mike(Fat-Fat).

I brought he and Brian to after party.

I'd like to share it to all of you. Please allow my slow typing and let us discuss this topic first.

What is well prepare?

Let us think about it few seconds.........

Don't make your answer so quickly.

Let me tell you a story.

Before I went to this congress, my friend told me that I should prepare my portfolio.

I said same thing to one of my best friends here, Li-Wei.

I didn't do it, but he did.

A lots of people said well prepare means that you need prepare yourself at every moment.

I believe my friend did it.

At very first day of congress, we chose one interesting topic which is D.I.Y. design in Brazil.

The speaker didn't show up and the host ask maybe someone here who can explain Brazil design.

At same time Li-Wei raise his hand with confidence and said I can present my portfolio.

I had to be honestly that at same time I really felt embarrassed.

Then he run to speaker's platform.

Although many many people of that room was leaving.

But he still keep seven audience there and presented his work properly.

After that I feel pride of him.

He did a very good job and also gave us a very good lesson.

Which is what is well prepare and confidence.

No fear, just show yourself to this world.

After everybody left, we went to platform and tried to pretend that we were invited by congress.

You know many people need to paid IDSA money to stand at this stage.

We can stand here for free. That's exciting.

what I learned from U.S. trip. Lesson 01

I had been long time that I didn't upload my blog.

Actually it means the life I spent at SJ is way much better that I used to be.

I feel so good when I stay here but I think there's a reason why I felt like this.

It is I lived at SF before so I got life to compare with.

This is not complain about life in SF, only feel so grateful to my lord.

Specially I had friends like Karen and Calvin who treat me like part of their family.

During that time they helped me a lots to pass through painful moment.

Truly thank you. My dear friends.

I tried to record my thought here. Because I found myself keep saying that what I learned from this trip is?....

So I thought maybe I really learned something here.

I used to be afraid that to look back of my experience at here.

I am afraid that I learned nothing about design or how to do good design.

I start realizing that it is not only one way to persuade what I want or what I thought.

It was too limited that the way I think about design.

So there you go, you can see that I try to record here, my blog.

Somehow you really want to do it, it goes away. You need to catch them as the time you think about it.

There is a good movie which is called "short bus".In mandarin if I translated it directly it will become sex bus.

So when I first time saw this movie that I thought it was an adult movie which I was wrong.

It was a movie that you can see a lots of naked people and make love in it.

It's true. But like film review said after watching it, all sex scene were gone.

So what I feel after saw this movie? What I left in my mind about it?

Now I had to agree with the film review.

what left in my mind about it which is distance between people.

And why it has any connection between what I learned here and movie?

It is distance. It is that we shared some fears with people who we fear.

When I stay in Taiwan, I loved reading stuff about design.

About how they make such beautiful design.

I pretty know every famous designers and design firm, about their design and some stories.

Sometimes I believed in Magazines or books too much or enjoyed what they did too much.

It appears that they really had a high level position in my heart.

Like a design idol.

After I got here, I met many people and some of them are really famous not only in U.S. but also in other countries.

Like dodge-ball game, I saw Yevs Behar there.

He is a quite normal guy who stood in front of me and waited in a line to get a drink.

Yesterday's party, I met Dan Harden who is the founder of Whipsaw design Inc. and pre design director of frog.

We chatted with him like one hour.

We talked about every thing from culture to travel.

I really enjoy it.

Suddenly I realize that they are not idol for me anymore.

More like a live people or a friend of mine.

We had same cares and same dreams that is what I want to said here, in this article.

So that's it. that is what I learned here. And it is the first lesson.

Thank you again my Jesus that you arranged this chance for me.

And you know me more then myself that you prepared this route.

Let me go through it. I learned more then if you put me at here in very first time.

Hari(Tension) is a Japanese way to express balance.

I read it from an article about Naoto Fukasawa.

He mentioned about when you discuss with other people. All you experienced is what people talk to you more than you response to others. Then, it is not a "Hari".

It needs to be a balance which means you need to express yourself.

And recently, I had learned about it and learned to express myself and express it properly.

Thank my Jesus to give me this topic and help me go through it.

Even though, I still feel stomachache when I had discuss with others.

I can taste the tension situation.

But I still try to express myself.

I mean if I don't say something for myself, who will.....

I am happy I answer people when there is another man said I think too much again.

I still afraid that I am a freak.... but I mean man, you don't know what I being through and if I felt uncomfortable. I will try to express it properly. I don't want to hurt you but what you said to me, it hurts.

I am who I am. If guys don't like it, maybe it was not always my fault.

I had moved to San Jose like 3 weeks.

The lives is really good.

Many different place if you compared with San Francisco.

Like weather or people here etc. many things are different.

Santa cruz

Sept 1 is Labor day. So it makes this weekend is a long weekend.

After our roommates' long distance bicycle trip(they rode it to Suasulito).

We were planing to go to Santa cruz which is a old surfing spot.

Really? I though surfing start from penguin. Whatever!!

Because I will move to San Jose. For reducing one more trip to San francisco, I packed my stuff and brought it with me to the trip of Santa cruz.

Thank for li-well to pick us up.

It looks like so many people want to go to beach today.

We took 1 hour to there and it should take half hour only.

We were planning to go to there and maybe we can surf there. But we didn't have any surf board or swimsuit.

But after we arrived there, it was indeed so many people there but it's ok, I guess.

It is a very big beach and contains many volleyball court there.

After we arrived there, we were attracted by many good figure female and followed them to play some volleyball with them.

My friends told me that they might be teenager. well! OK.

And we play volleyball about 3 to 4 hours.

We didn't go surfing even that e didn't touch ocean at all, ha ha.

It's a beautiful place but it might be a traditional holiday spot and many tourist there.

So it is not so beautiful to me.

We just went back from Lake Tahoe. It's really beautiful in summer.

We went to a Chinese restaurant after beach volleyball.

I feel so good and I'd love it.

And actually I'm so enjoy to spend time with my friends today.

Thanks for everybody I felt great.....

I love summer.... and to stay a place's weather is like summer everyday.

I think I will enjoy it....

Thanks for Richard's sharing tonight

Today is Wed and it's our snack dinner again.
Jane had cook for us so many times.
So today we decided to let her take a rest...... And everyone prepared one dish of food.
I prepared Fried tomato with eggs, hot shrimps with wine and fish ball soup.
Each dish was first time I ever tried.... and I saw many many times of recipe...
Just like I do presentation before. I will rehearsal many times in my brain.
But I waited until 6.30 p.m.. It seemed nobody came home. I am so hungry.....
I had to wait otherwise food will not hot enough.
Finally, everyone came back then I can cook.... because I prepared every condiments before so I could do it in a short time.
It was really funny after you saw people do it before and now I do it same.
Just like first time I saw myself can draw something good.... It feels good.
After I served every food on the table and everyone started eating.
I took a rest and watch people eating just like Calvin would do after he served food to us.
I felt satisfied again.........^^
I really enjoy this kind of feeling. And starting understand why people said food could provide happiness to people.
I am not saying that I can cook. I started cooking since I came here.
But I can test similar feeling.....
They ate too fast that I forgot took photos today even Richard's share later.... It's pity.
Richard is a AAU's student and he study at industrial design master degree now.
Now he is a second years student.
I mentioned him before. He did a really good presentation today.
Everyone focused on him and felt interesting.
He shared with us until 11.00 clock.
I guessed everyone like his work during school.
But I saw other things. Such as personality.....
Every time I heard people talking about his own situation.
I cannot help that I will start to simulate myself to that situation.
I will think if it was me, what I would do at that moment or a period of time.
He learned design since before he applied AAU one year.
It means he learned design about 3~4 years.
But how long I had been design business?
4 years for college and 5 years for working. It's almost 10 years now....
How shamed am I? Really...... How shamed am I>....?
There are some thing I need to learn form this man and it's very important.
I shall not avoid anymore.... I need find my passion back.......
Yes it's passion............ How far you could go for LOVE? This is a Car-tier's new slogan.
How far I could do for design.......... for what I love... to do .. ?

Recently, the weather is good everyday in SF.

It almost everyday is sunny.

So one day I took a little walk to Golden Gap Park.

It is very close which I live.

If you took bike, it would spend you 5~10 minutes to get there.

But I prefer walking to there.

I came here many times.

So after I arrived there, I took another path that I don't usually take.

It is a narrow winding trail.

I so like there. You can avoid the main road's noise and see many squirrels.

Actually in SF, you can see squirrels at many place or trees.

But this is first time, I am so close to them.

Basically, they jumped around me all the time.

Like saying that can you give me some food?

But they seemed that they can tell you had food or not in a short time.

Luckily, I met an old couple who were feeding them.

And I ask them can I take photos of squirrels?

They agreed happily. Even more, they shared me some walnut.

Squirrels were a very smart and brave animals.

Actually, they don't afraid of me at all.

You can see them holding your hand and ask for more and more.

And they have teeth and claw.

It hurts...... T_T......

It was an interesting experience with squirrels at Golden Gap Park.

People said sometimes you may see raccoons at Golden Gap Park.

But even though whey look so cute. They are mean. Easy get angry...

If I saw them, I'd be better keep away from them.

haha..... I'd expect that....

Long time no see Downtown.

It has been 1 month I didn't go to downtown SF since I left ZOE.

Today I went out and met WangHua at Mogemary.

WangHua is AAU student and Michael introduced him to me.

I am glad that I had chance to know him.

We had lunch at Japanese restaurant.

He brought me to see his school.

I saw many good graphic design. But due to product design's building is not there, so I didn't see it. He told me a lots of what he learned from AAU.

Mostly, he learned from his classmate and other subject more than product design.

I am so admire that he had chance to do that and most important thing is he has passion.

I can tell he learn design happily.

That's most important thing.

I hope that I can learn this from him instead of my emotional temper now.

Yosemite trip

I had heard Yosemite many times.

After I came to U.S., I keep hearing people talking about it.

Finally, I got a chance to go there and luckily friends will take me to there.

Thanks for Danny and John. Specially thanks to Danny's uncle and aunt to let us stay at their house.

We left SF at 5.30. Then we saw beautiful sunrise.

Yosemite is so beautiful even though it is during dry season.

We didn't see the beautiful Yosemite waterfall.

But we still saw a lots of beautiful rocks, tree and animals(included human).

The air there is so fresh. The rocks there are so special.

They said that during ice age. It brought a lots of rocks down here.

So we can see many many special rocks here.

And many animals live here too, specially squirrels.

We saw squirrels many times and they don't afraid of human.

Sometimes they look like asking you to give them food.

After Yosemite, we went to Merced and we stayed at Danny uncle's house.

The house is beautiful and Danny's uncle and aunt are so nice.

They have a swimming pool in their house and we go swimming of course.

I always think one of the main reason that makes a trip good which is people.

What kind of people you met on your trip and how you interact with them.

Every people make you feel different.

And I am really lucky that i met a lots of good friends at CA which make me feel this place like home.

舊金山約五個小時大

每次回花蓮，都會去騎腳踏車。

在花蓮騎腳踏車，是個很愉快的經驗。假如你不怕曬的話，那就更棒了。尤其現在還有政府規劃的腳踏車步道，可以讓你與砂石車相遇喔！開玩笑的。不過，花蓮風光明媚的，騎腳踏車真的很舒服。還記得上次騎去找Jonah，從花蓮市騎到玉里鎮，單程整整騎了八個小時，加上我中間隨便亂竄，應該少說有快一百公里吧！超愛的，中間還遇到慷慨的大叔，請我吃滿妹豬腳。今天，在舊金山，也來個腳踏車之旅吧！

記得之前聽人家說過，可以從日落區騎到沙沙利度，打開地圖一看，似乎很恐怖的長度，又常在美國聽人家說，沒有車等於沒有腳一樣，整個人就膽怯了起來。所以，雖然嘴上說要到沙沙利度，其實，心裡想者，騎到金門大橋就可以了，哈！超會原諒自己的拉。結果，一上路，果然吃盡自己沒好好做功課的苦頭，一直狂迷路，光金門公園，我都快繞一圈了。不過，幸好本人篤信路長在嘴巴上；只好一直問人了，中間還問到一個講話超級斯文的單車客，問他說:金門大橋在哪個方向？結果，被他從上到下掃瞄過後，他就說現在去可能已經起大霧了，不過他還是指點我條明路。走在路上，心裡想，可能要騎到金門大橋都是個難題了吧！有人說舊金山的路很有"彈性"，直到現在我才真正體會，特別是在騎者暢快的下坡路段時，心裡其實是忐忑不安的，大家都懂吧！還有回程阿！老天！走的越遠，迷的路越多，我就越不敢想要怎麼回家。迷路是值得，辛苦有代價。在路上遇到了很多風光明媚的地方，看到了潛水艇在值勤，看見了美麗的海灣（如果還可以看到鯨魚就更讚了！）。話說舊金山政府還真的是對Biker很友善，可能人多勢眾吧！哈！路上除了常看見指標外（雖然按指標走有時會撞牆），還在熱鬧的市區特意安排出腳踏車走的路喔！話說，經過千辛萬苦，終於到了金門大橋，真的是值得的阿！頓時發現騎在橋上，就是給他很不一樣，從下面的角度看大橋的纜繩，才發現怎麼有人的工作是走在纜繩上阿！天阿！我光騎在橋上，就不時腳軟，心裡想像者，有遊客不小心推了我一下，我就掉落冰冷的海灣了。真是夠有感覺的了。

好了，騎過橋後，心裡想者，應該可以了吧！我已經達到不可能的目標了ㄝ！突然，看見一個指標，Sausalito 1 mile........... ，阿勒～真的嗎？現在回去不就工虧一匱，繼續上路吧！路是一路滑到底，我的心也就涼到了底，有需要落差這麼多嗎？你老師，這台沒避震的假登山車，還是我偷騎出來的，我騎得回去嗎？不管了。一路滑到Sausalito的市區。這裡我來過了，所以其實就隨便走走看看，學人家躲在陽光底下，裝悠哉～今天禮拜五特別早下班，所以，來這裡曬曬太陽。好像這樣的心情一樣。還是，我家其實就在山坡上拉，隨便騎下來，看看有什麼好玩的？別在做夢了。忽然看見一堆人，特別是Biker在排隊，哇勒！～是不是有贈品，就跑去問人家，原來是要做渡輪去魚人碼頭喔！厚厚～！叫我在去魚人碼頭，那我不是離家越來越遠嗎？難道我要過夜阿？明天還要去優勝美地勒！可是心裡有個聲音一直說，Why not? Why not? 好吧！學人家排起隊啦！就給他坐渡輪到了漁人碼頭。漁人碼頭我也有來過，所以路還知道，就往南一直騎就對了，沿者F line的路線，一直往市區方向走。看到了Bat Bridge，路上遇到人家一直尖叫，瑞奇小子，瑞奇馬丁～I Love you~丁你老師拉！我是大頭火龍，新品種，沒見過喔！死龐克妹～。一直騎到Powell，心裡的期望終於落空，真的，MUNI真的沒開放給腳踏車用戶，哇勒～那我怎麼回家，天快黑了ㄝ，好像依稀記得Sasa說過，可以直接搭公車到我們家山頂，所以跑去找地圖，發現真的有ㄝ！後來讓整公車的人等我把腳踏車裝好，結果小義大利司機看不下去，來幫我裝，我心裡一直想者，吉哥遇過司機和他說的；少年仔，頭一拜喔！～結果沒有。從滿滿的人坐到剩我一個，天空已經泛起淺淺的魚肚白了，和小意Say goodbye後，扛起假登山車，直奔下山。終於喊出；Home, Sweet Home........

說實在的，和我在花蓮騎的份量比起來，今天的量，可能還比較少點，不過路上看到的不同風光，有趣事物，倒是真的比花蓮的一片大海，來的多元有趣。如果，我真的相信自己做不到，或顧慮自己回去怎麼辦？而躊躇不前的話，那我可能連金門大橋都到不了，這....有那麼有啟發嗎？真的拉！我做到了ㄝ，歷屆有人做過嗎？騎腳踏車環舊金山一圈，我美國朋友都說我瘋了～～拜託，哪天一起來台灣環島就知道了。你還要和機車、汽車、大卡車爭道ㄝ！

舊金山還給你做專門的路騎，很爽了好杯！再說，一點都不熱。多半是微風徐徐。改天一起騎吧！

記得當年

還記得那時辦完了大同的workshop，已經過了好一陣子，心裡手裡都還在發癢，想找點什麼東西來玩玩。碰巧的第一屆的Muji就開辦了。

好吧！那就以這個比賽為主題，開始做了一連串的發想過程。

參與者就是我們這群常混再一起的傢伙。閒閒沒事幹～

雖然MUJI主題已定，可是我們操作workshop的方式是以日常生活為主。

所以我們就展開了一連串的觀察，舉凡習慣、問題、解決等等，全都觀察。

真的很好玩。這個過程中，很自然的，大家的能力都表現了出來。

像C的點子多，A的領導能力，F的觀察與總結能力等等，哇！超懷念的拉～！

有些事情，現再不做，以後就後悔。我很高興，有些事，我已經做過。

而且，還想在做。做設計真的很快樂。

西邊是家鄉

今天，騎腳踏車過了二十幾個街，跑到最西邊的海邊去，沒想到再這麼近的地方，就看到了，有人在衝浪。浪，其實蠻小的，和台灣很像，最大的差別就在，凜冽的寒風以及ㄧ定要穿防寒衣的水溫。很懷念在台灣衝浪的時光。坐在海邊，思考者，到底自己想過怎樣的生活？不經幻想起，如果我可以租在一個離海邊近的地方，買台可以放浪板的車，下班就去衝浪，或者背者釣竿去釣魚。這樣似乎很不賴。

Today, I rod bicycle to the west of bay area. It is an ocean. People call the place where I lived sunset area. At my hometown, ocean means east. That's why I can only see sunrise instead of sunset. I who came from east but now I fly to west to learn design. I saw surfer on the ocean. Wave here was quite small which is like Taiwan. But it still had a lots of different, such as windy weather and cold water. The water is so cold that you have to wear cold prevented suit. Sitting beside beach, and thinking. What kind of life I want to choose? Maybe I can buy or rent a house nearby ocean and buy a car which can put my surfboard. I go surfing after work or take my fish rod to go fishing. It sounds great. What kind of life or person I want to be?

De Young museum

Today, I went to De Young museum at Golden Gap park.

I heard this place that they said it would kill your camera(you will run out off your film).

After I took bus and I spent 20 minutes to get down there.

It is a beautiful park and it is a beautiful architect.

I feel I am so happy.

Recently, I think people who can live here is so happiness.

Although I still miss where I came from.

There were several exhibitions that we can see today.

Actually, there were so many exhibitions in this building more then MOMASF.

But there were only two floor and one basement, so you don't need to climb too many floor.

I saw many Africa and Maya culture art works.

It looks so real and fake. I don't know. Like some thing you should see at an Africa's native home, or a deco on a chieftain's head.

But I can see it in front of me.

It's a really nice museum and I'd like to go to there again.

Next time, I will ride bicycle to there. Ha Ha.......

昨天，朋友看見我女朋友的照片，問我說，所以這就是我喜歡的類型？我也不知道，似乎喜歡的女孩子並沒有統一的類型，就像我雖然有喜歡的設計風格，但是執行上卻沒有統一風格的原因似乎雷同吧！因為，雖然喜歡，可是客戶不見得適合，所以提出的方案也就越來越多變。以這個做比喻，似乎很有趣呢！接著另一個朋友說，我一定喜歡嘗試不同的“ 菜 “，我旋即回答；女人不是菜。我自己很驚訝於說出這樣的話，因為，一般而言，我會順者別人的話說話，但是，有時卻會說出自己都驚訝的話。對壓，女人對於我而言，不是一道一道的菜，那麼簡單。我不是饕客，女人也不是佳餆。真要簡單的說，我寧願說；女人是上帝的傑作，於我，是美的啟蒙。

依稀記得大ㄧ上設計通識，老師問我們，你們覺得女人身體哪裡最美呢？大家似乎都很臉紅心跳的，不敢說話。我卻毫不猶豫的說，女人最美的地方就是身體相連的部位。是的，我覺得最美的地方不是五官，不是乳房；而是頸部，腰部的曲線。你可以感覺到嗎？女人與男人的曲線就是不一樣，年輕女人與成熟女人的曲線也不一樣，即使在一個曖昧不明的灰色地帶。

BBQ, Swim&night club at San Jose

Live here is so good that I am afraid I cannot get used to Taiwan anymore.

No more over time working, sun light, good weather and countless events make me feel live in a dream word.

Is it my America dream?

We went to Fred's house at SJ and he BBQ for us.

There was a swimming pool and we had a lots of fun there.

Thanks for Fred. He prepared so many food.

I like the days we spent here, California.

After BBQ party, we went back to SJ people's apartment.

We went to night club at SJ which is called LOFT.

Actually, for me, it was a little bit boring.

I think music is one of the most important elements at night club.

This LOFT club's music is not so good.

Basically, it was an experience.

Sunday, we stay at the apartment all day.

Thank for Jane and Shi-Fen cooked for our branch.

I like the sausage fried rice very mush.

Afternoon, we took Cal-train and back to SF.

Louis came to our apartment to stay two nights.

He is more younger then us but he had a lots of social experience.

He is also a food lover.

We reheat food which we brought back from Calvin's house.

And Louis cooked same fried rice for us.

This weekend is so good. I feel happy. Thank God.

You always treat me very nice.

First TDC report 2007 july

拖了第一次的報告，遲遲未交，不單單是因為太忙而沒時間去寫，其實我從來不相信自己的這種理由，因為寫文章這種事，我自己很明白，可以是個一小時內就完成的工作，那我一整天抽不出一個小時，來寫篇心得嗎？昨天晚上，我完成了在這裡第一個想要做的事，我站在Pecha Kucha Night的台上，和大家分享我工作五年來的部份作品，我花了多久的時間準備呢？花了一天整理版面，花了一天校正講稿，實際工作天數是兩天，可是其實這件事，可是我今年年初就立下的心願呢！有那麼嚴重嗎？我朋友引進PK Night到台灣的那個時候，我就和他們說；我會上台的。這件事足足拖了我半年多。雖然上台發表，對我過去可能是家常便飯，可是，面對自己的時候就那麼沈重。

寫這篇心得，似乎也要面對自己一些不甘的，不堪的，甚至卑鄙的寫法吧！一直無法打開我的MPB，開始做這件事。昨天晚上結束了派對，和Phon在聊天的時候，他們不禁問起我為什麼還不交報告呢！我才發現原來我心裡還存在著這麼多情緒，難道我受傷了嗎？記得參加這個活動，有經驗沒經驗的人，給我的建議中，最重複的就是，千萬不要報任何期望，台創的活動辦得很糟。所以，我採信了這樣的說法，告訴我自己說；千萬不要有期望。特別是在歐洲取消，有名公司沒有，得知是採用觀光簽證進來等的事，接二連三發生後，我對這樣的說詞更是深信不疑；但是你要我怎樣不要抱有期望呢？畢竟這還是很難吧！第一個有關錢的事，我還記得朋友和我說，你拿了這個錢出國，可是這個錢你也可以拿來開一間設計公司，一個人過得很爽了。我怎麼對自己交代呢，當我把一天帶兩個便當省下來的錢，全部壓在一個我不期望的訓練上，這著實是個風險很高的賭注啊！

我是個基督徒，我相信我所作每件事，每天遇到的事，都不是偶然。那我來美國想必也非偶然，我生活中的事，突然全部結束，全部放下，就可以來這裡，這絕對不是偶然，就像官講的；我三十歲前，不存錢。我已經做了我的選擇了，既然來了就好好享受在這裡的時間。實在很不想再讓那些過去的事拖住我，就讓那些事過去吧！不要去想會有人幫你安排什麼，或是會獲得什麼，在這裡也是和在台灣一樣的，只是過日子而已。

下面節錄上課的筆記。

這次上課的短短兩天中，有一場課還讓我印象蠻深的，之所以比較深的關係，其實也是因為這是惟一一場，比較有互動的課。那是由兩位女性為我們上的課，她們是從事市場調查的公司。她們依照一本書裡面的內容，給我們執行類似workshop的活動。她們使用方法的名稱叫做Ideal Box，這個方法的目的是要測出她們的目標族群喜好，這個邏輯還蠻好玩的，既然我們無法準確的知道，消費者要什麼，那不如就請消費者做出她們想要的東西吧！基本上準備的東西都很簡單；一個盒子（任何尺寸都可以，主要是方便可以畫圖或寫字在上面）、幾隻不同顏色的麥克筆、一些可以裝飾盒子的色紙或彩帶。接下來就是要確認對象，當然不一定要設計師，基本上是你的目標族群就可以。給她們一個題目，譬如說你想要開發的產品，我們這次的題目是Alarm Clock，接者就請我們的目標族群，以這個盒子來當作Alarm Clock的包裝盒，設計出她們想要的Alarm Clock。設計中有幾件事情請她們注意，要描述出幾件事，第一；Feature、第二；Benefits、第三；Messaging、第四；Naming，時間限制在三十分鐘內，最後請各個小組來銷售她們的設計。很好玩的活動，雖然我們都是設計師，免不了對一些地方會想比較多，譬如說，色彩或造型等等，但是這個方法讓我不經想起一句很久以前聽到的話；設計師是消費者的守護者。我還記得我第一次去站在大一學生的講台上，她們問我我是怎麼做設計的，我說大多以自己的經驗為準，我所體驗的變成我的創意輸出來源。基本上，是這樣沒錯，可是，就以這個方法所帶給我的感受而言，我們其實必須具備很強烈的同理心，又能夠以超然的角色為消費者辯護。關於這點，我正在努力的學習者；而我們這組的結果呢？因為我們是剛抵達美國的設計師，離家的鄉愁雖未發作，對另一半的思念卻是強烈的很，所以我們設計了一個很簡單的鬧鐘，但是這個鬧鐘可以錄製聲音，每天早上你就可以被另一半的聲音喚醒，就像她在你的旁邊一樣。你還可以透過鬧鐘上面的另外一個指針，知道另一半世界的時間。很簡單的功能，可是卻是我現在最想要的，簡單回到真正想要這件事上，會發現要滿足人的基本需求真的很簡單。今天，已經太多是我們所製造不需要的慾望了。

Gilroy Garlic Festival

Today is Sat and we went to Gilroy Garlic Festival.

They said that it will be interesting. Because there are many food that all made by garlic.

I am so happy about it. You know that staying here, It's so happy to try something that you never been through before.

There were garlic fries, ice cream, corn, sausage, etc..

There were only one problem. The weather was too hot.

I remember when we left sunset, it's 54 degree. And when we arrived Gilroy, it was 95 degree.

And when we left Gilroy, it was 104 degree.

It's so hot that we saw many people overheat.

It's good because they supplied cold water for free.

It takes 12 dollars to enter.

We almost try everything that we were too full and missed corn.

It's interesting to me as I stood there.

I was thinking that why there was a place so famous about garlic and they can do a festival for it.

After that we went to Gilroy outlet for shopping.

I felt that now I could hold down to buy everything.

After that we went to Costco and bought some steaks.

I cannot wait to eat it.

Today was good and experience more about America.

Pecha Kucha night at SF

This was one of my wish when the beginning of this year.
I still remember the time when my friend imported PK night to Taiwan.
I said to them that it would be one of my wish this year to stand in front of PK night.
I missed one chance in Taiwan.
After I came to U.S.. I think it should be done here.
I join first PK night at June and started to prepare next time.
I was lucky to met Paul at Alberto's birthday party.
Paul is host of PK night at SF.
I said to him that I want to join PK night to present.
He was so nice and encouraged me to do that.
I signed up to Alberto that I would present at July.
Today was the day I presented.
There were many people there, and I felt nervous for sure.
If you asked me to mark me a score?
I would said 80.
Because I had been practice and done well.
After party, my roommate asked me why I look upset.
I said that during party time, I wanted to find somebody to chat.
But it looks a little bit different with my idea.
I thought there would be a chance to let people know who I am.
And maybe they will interest about me and come to ask me something.
But actually, they didn't. It looks so hard to get into their world.
My roommate said that I should live in reality instead of my day dream.
I think he was right and I should give myself a reward.
I saw twice of my video.
I really done well today.
Specially I used a second language to express myself.

Lucasart studio and Palace of fine art

Last friday......We went to visit Lucasart Studio and Palace of fine art.

I am sorry that too many stuff happened everyday that I cannot updated my blog on time.

But maybe it's good thing because that I tried my best to enjoy every second.

Ok..... Talking about Lucasart Studio .

It's a very famous company was builded by Starwars' director Geoge Lucas.

There were three company which were included in this studio, Lucas film, Games and light&magic.

Thanks for Chin Ko for hosting this tour and Angus for sharing us this trip.

Due to Chin is a concept artist.We saw many amusing paintings and sculptures.

And we also took a picture with master Youda's sculpture.

In Games place, they always keep light dark and everyone got many cool toys.

About light & magic, because they do movies special effects.

Every movies they joined, they will post a poster on the wall.

And that poster were so many that you cannot believe that so many movies made by special effects.

It was pity that we cannot go into their office to say hi, but I feel satisfied.

After this tour, we went to Palace of fine art, just around the corner.

It was so nice that you can see movie use it for scene(The Rock).

Design party at airport SF

Friday was a very good day.
We took one day off to visit Lucasart studio.
And Thursday we went to join a party at airport museum SF.
It was a small presentation party which held in Aviation museum.
There were several famous design company were invited to present.
Such as Lunar, fuse project, whipsaw, Ideo, smart design etc..
At first, I thought that it was a party and if your company didn't be invited, you may not allow to join.
But thanks for Shifen, told me that I can join it.
So be it, I went to airport with some of my roommate.
During party time, I saw Hiro stood there, but I was shame to introduce myself.
So I didn't come to say hello.
But He remember me and ask Shifen to call me.
He was a so nice elder and I am so jealous at Shifen who can stay in his company.
I videoed some presentation and I will put one of it to blog.
Hope you can enjoy it.

Change the world

Actually, I felt uncomfortable recently.

I caught a flu and headache. It also came with bad mood.

I don't know which one first but I do felt uncomfortable.

I remembered this dialogue"we can change the world with one random act of kindness at a time".

The movie may talk about Environment issue.

But It also helped me turned my sight to others, instead of myself.

I do my best to do that.

Today, I saw a woman who always sat at same place to sell her own made product.

I didn't buy anything.

All I did was that pray for her.

I hope that I can do more tomorrow.

Helping others to make yourself feel better.

Does that selfish?

I don't know. Please don't judge me. I am one normal and emotional guy.

Last night in L.A. but not least.

Today is last night we stay in L.A.

It is last but it is least.

We spent time to enjoy leisure time.

We ate lunch at farmer's market.

Farmer's market in U.S. is like a Fruit & vegetable market in Taiwan.

But there are many kinds of them.

We went to a farmer's market in L.A., it is modern farmer's market which is for tourist.

There was a food court in there and we went there for lunch and took a look.

When I stayed inside, I felt like I stayed in BKK's Lupini or Mochi.

Not only variety foods that you can find in there but many kinds of cute, funny products in there.

This message was left until now.

Today is July 18, I had been SF 3 days.

LA's trip was a great experience.

1. I start feeling that how big America is?

2. I experienced Taiwanese passion. And felt no place like home.

3. I wish I can stay longer.

Stay in U.S. I didn't spent many time to think about design.

All I do is trying to live in this moment.

I watch my friend cook cake or any kind of food.

I travel to other place to see how people live there.

Recently, I start trying to do some video cutting.

And yesterday I saw Universal Studio.

This experience let me feel something different.

It is queer. I am not thinking about design stuff but I have learned something familiar.

Like cooking, you need to management what kind of food that you need put and which one first.

How many you need to put in there?

Scenes that I saw at Universal Studio, it was familiar just like cooking or jut like design.

Everything is about element, balance and beauty(or you can said what kind of feeling that you want to express). I like it.

Yes, the life here, I like it very much.

Black thirteen friday....

Today it is black thirteen friday and we were planing to Universal Studio.

I am so happy.It is my first time to U.S. and of cause it is my first day to Universal Studio.

They said it is similar with Chinese culture & movie center(CMPC Studio).

But I don't think so.....

We spent 1 hour driven to there and saw famous L.A.'s traffic jam.

We were lucky because traffic jam was stay at opposite lane.

In L.A. you go to every place cannot without car.

Just like Jane said in U.S. : There is no leg if you had no car.

Thanks Calvin and Karen again.

Finally we saw sign which is wrote Hollywood and we also saw famous sign on the mountain.

It was pity that I lost chance to photo it.

When we arrived at it. We were lucky that it was not so many people in there.

It means we don't need to on line for long time.

We went to film tour directly. Thanks for experience Guru told us to there.

Because it was so amazing that you cannot lose it.

People said if you didn't see this, you missed whole thing.

We saw many actually film place that we saw on movies or TV shows such as Kin-Kon or shark.

It was really cool that you saw disaster scene could be re-happened again and again.

I saw car explored and fly to the sky then fly back.

Earthquake scene, subway car crashed into station etc. it could be re-fix. It's really amusing me.

I saw airplane crashed and broken.

It was builded by real 747 airplane. The scene shock me a lot.

They said universal Studio is not cool as we look at movies.

I agree with it but you can still see some raw stuff in there.

In fact, I pretty like it.

I always like conflict.

Compare with movies we saw after.

The scene can give me more ideas.

One day is not enough.

We play and see many stuff but it still missed many of them.

But that's ok.

It makes me expect next time.

Now I know why LA boys said Taiwanese

Today I went to LA with my friends.
It almost took us 7 hours to get here. I'd like to thank Jinko who letting us stay at his sister's house.
It was very beautiful as we drove down to L.A..
You can see desert all the time and it was very large and beautiful.
Now I know what is that huge means beautiful.
Jinko's family was so nice to us. The house is so big ,it has 20 foot ceilings.
I am staying in his nephew's room. It is really big, you can fit two king size beds in there side by side.
People who live in this house must be real happy.
Jinko's family speaks Taiwanese and I feel just like I am in Taiwan.

Did you still remember the L.A. boys?
They speak really good Taiwanese that make us feel good.
It is very funny when you are thousands of miles away from your own hometown and you hear you familiar language.
Strange but nice......

I am so happy and I'd like to thank Calvin and Karen......

Today I really had fun and tomorrow we will go to Universal Studio.
I am so....happy now.
I can't wait to go......

Today I saw Jay's new music video/....

It touched my heard.....

Today foreigner coworker all went to presentation.

A wang went home early for setting alarm code.....

There only left me and connie....

We took some chatting....

She encourage me to express myself more at office.....

It touched me also.....

The video of Jay was talking about high school love story and I started thinking about my high school love story.....

There were few girls there in my mind.... Each one had different story some don't even start, comes an end.....

Mostly reason of why was that I afraid of getting harm.....

How cowardly I am.

I still make same mistake now.. Even now, after so many years ago.

I am not talking about love. I am talking about courage of taste life itself.

If I let myself down, same story will happened again and I will regret it.

Crab and fish day

Today we went to Golden gap bridge to catch some crabs and fish.

It's really wendy and cold there. Thanks for Calvin's coat that I can stand there without shaking.

We use professional way to catch crab. We put fish in the middle cage of big net. And tied it beside the pier.We caught almost 15 crabs. And several fishes.It funny because one of our fishing rod caught two fishes at sometime. But they were giving birth. Calvin said it's fish's mother intuition. Because she had been caught so she given birth as soon as possible.I think she is great and we let all small fishes go back. That's first time that I saw a fish giving birth and small fish come out directly(like human being or whale). What happen about fishing? I didn't catch any fish at all but I stack all the time. Jane caught many,she was fish queen today.ha ha....

Today's Sunset at golden gap bridge was so beautiful. Although it was cold and windy ,But it was worthy. We steam crabs and fish. It tasted really fresh and good. I like it. Hope I can do that again.............

July 4 Seeing fireworks at sunset' mountain

Today is a United State's holiday. Independents day.

We went to Kevin's house for B.B.Q..I went there at noon and we started cooking rice noodle.

I help Kevin for cutting cooking materials. It's a basic job but I need to learn and practice a lot.

Kevin added something like sauce and made it tasted different.He had so many secret recipe and thing that I needed learn form him are too many.

After that we started to preheat the BBQ stove. Kevin show me how to use charcoal and how to fire up. It's very interesting because they put a smaller , round stove in the middle of BBQ stove.

And under it,Kevin put many paper to helping fire up. It's look like chimney effect and fire up in a short time. Today happened a lots of thing that made me really understand what is America lifestyle. Not only BBQ but for many other stuff.I really enjoy it. But Angus was so nice that he said thank you for your hard working today,I feel happy.I think always appreciate others work is an important thing.

Kevin has a neighbor who own a company to sale sea food to Japan. Including sea urchin. He brought a whole box sea urchin which still alive in there. Kevin showed me how to kill and clean sea urchin.It look terrible to me but I still want to try it. So after he showed me one or two,I opened whole box of sea urchin.Ha ha..... It's a very good experience for me. Same thing happened again , We eat a lot and drink a lot. Kevin and Karen are really like sharing with people.Oh,seven of us all came to their house. And Karen discussed the cosmetics to us,hope that it can be done in a very good way. And hope that all of us can help Karen a lot,me specially. I am so glad that God lead me here and let me met Kevin's family. Because them,my life here are more colorful and happier. Thank you God. Thank you, Kevin and Karen.

After 9 clock we went to mountain to see fireworks.I have to say that it's a really boring fireworks. Not only small and all look familiar,but lack of varied. Although the full moon here is more bigger than where we came from. But it's not everything here are so good. Except that,other things here are mostly good. ha ha........

Prepared food for BBQ day

Me,Jane and Sasha went to Kevin's house for helping prepare food for tomorrow.

But now what I had got?4 kinds of alcohol drink,2 kinds of cake,potato salad and many kinds of BBQ food for tomorrow.

I am really full now and drunk.I'm happy.

Napa trip

Today,there was too many funny things happened.

It was so hard to discarded everything. Not mentioned the softball we play at San jose yesterday.

After church this morning,me,Jane&Sasha toke Kevin&Keren's car to Napa opus winery and paid 25 dollars to test red wine.It was an really good wine that I had ever tested before. Sorry for my poor English,I don't know how to described it.It test like tender smooth feel and last a very long smell in your mouth which means very good.

After that Kevin and keren treated us a lunch which was also very big and good.

The winery was very beautiful and maybe too beautiful that they said looked like an America style tomb there. And you could smell a fertilizer outside.I guessed they wanted people think they plant grapes organically.Napa had a good weather and we took lots of picture there.

On the road to Napa,Sasha sang a song that she made before which was very well.I like it. Hope that I can learn more and help her record her Demo tape or CD.Maybe one day she will be very famous singer or a song writer.

After winery and lunch,we went to Napa outlet to took a look.

So many good store there and I just bought a leather jacket at San jose.So I tried to behave myself. Tried very hard. specially,there had ck.

Jane bought several stuff and finally I didn't buy anything.

After arrived Kevin's house,and little chatting about fish ,camping,etc. stuff,Kevin brought us to his backyard to picked some strawberry ,blueberry and introduced us many other kinds of plants. Kevin really has a green fingers.

After that Kevin prepared to cook and today's main meal was steak. ha ha....

Actually, Kevin has a cook license which means he is a very qualified and excellent cook.

So .....I can tell you that's the most fabulous steak that I ever ate before.... It's really awesome.

Midden rare....you can test outside just a little bit scorched and inside ...wo really tender and soft. And the sauce which contained mushroom was also very very good.

Kevin open an 1948's wine for us.

A good wine and excellent steak which means "perfect life"...........I'd love it.

After steak,of course it comes desert.

Desert was made by Jane and Sasha and who was teacher?Of course was Kevin.

It was also an very good cake too.

We brought some back to house and shared with others.

Everyone love it!!

This weekend was full of fun and substance.

This Wednesday was July 4,an international holiday(Independence day).

We will go to kevin's house for B.B.Q..

Let's expect it ba.........

Oh.....by the way,after ate desert, we also sang a karaoke.

And Jane had a very good voice... Let's enjoy it ba......

Alberto's birthday party

After San Jose's softball game.We went to an outlet to take a look.

And I got an excellent leather jacket which was cost 54.13 dollars. It's awesome.

After all this event,I took a nap and got ready for tonight's Alberto's birthday party.

Special thanks for Sasha's introduce,then me Sasha and Jane went to join it.

Alberto's apartment was located at downtown which was very close to Zoe.

We took 30(Bus) to there.

At there,I met many interesting person.

Like Mat and Rob,they were twins. And both of them were product designer.

Mat work for fuseproject and Rob work for Lunar. Both of them are work for awesome company.

Specially Mat,this was first time I met fuseproject's designer.

Ouch!! I love their stuff.

And Doto too, he work for Lunar,he was an interesting man.

At pecha Kucha night which we went to last Wednesday , Doto shared something about his point of view.

His photos,I like it a lot. Specially the picture which people put banana beside the drink area in Supermarket.

And Wenson and his girl(sorry I forgot her name),Wenson been to Taiwan several times and also a second generation of Taiwanese who stay in U.S.A..

His girlfriend came from the small town near by Osaka who also was a very nice person.

And Francois's coworker who work for Lunar and study at Stanford,I'm sorry that I still don't know how to pronounce your name,maybe next time I must learn how.

After all, Alberto your house is very good,and I really enjoy your birthday party,thank you for your kind treatment.

And other guys and girls,you were also very nice,thanks for your kindly response,specially for my poor English,thanks for your patience.

What weekend!!(baseball game)

This was a really busy weekend since friday.
Connie, her boyfriend and some friends of mine went to a pun which I already write at last post.
And....ha ha we went to see baseball game at satarday.Who is the pitcher? Wang......cool
That's a very exciteing experiencr for me.Specially our seat was located at Giant's fan seat.
Yahoo news said this is Giant baseball field but SF has many Chinese.So It will be like wang's home town.
I guess yahoo was right or wrong.
Because I saw many Chinese and many of them were Taiwaness.
But It is a small baseball field which contains 400,00 people inside.
So still,many Giant fan there and we were a little afraid to sit inside them.haha
Specially when the time Giant lose or judgement seens not good for them,they will shout ,a lot.
Before opening,me and my friends went to frontest set to see their practice,specially for Wang.
I almost touch him,just in front of me.
We shout his name and he iignore us ,of course.
I almost got a baseball after their practice.It's pity.
It's a awesome experience for me and I want to so it again.

It is really touch something when I saw the band yesterday.

When I saw their face had many enjoy and happiness.

Today before we left,connie talked with us and asked what we will do this weekend?

I though he might just tried to be nice. But she said maybe we can hang out sometimes.

oh!Really? I said maybe today.So after he asked her boyfriend then,we go to a bar.

By the way,her boyfriend's name is Francois who work at smart design.

A nice guy. Really nice,cool place just like an sport bar in Taiwan(but it's not).

We ordered some beer and got a upstairs seat. And enjoy the live band which had one man for guitar and one woman for violin.Oh! she is hot...... ha ha

After pub,me and Jane 'd like to go home but there was no MUNI after 9.00 p.m..

So we took S to Costure and shuttle bus to West Ferro.

It took a long time and thank for a guy who came from Singapore pointed the right bus for us.

Although he kept talking with us and I guess it made June nervous.So we took taxi to home.

It spent 6 dollars. Each one paid 3 dollars. Faster,safer and warmer.

It's worthy.

Today,after staying at home about 6 hours,I decided to go to music concert.

It is nearby the W street.

I took bus to there and stop in front of a park which is called LARSEN PARK.

I was walking on the sidewalk.

There was a old lady came to me and asked are you going to concert?

Yes,I said. And she pointed a way to me and tell me how to get there.

What a nice lady.

WOO!!So many people there and what nice music here.

People danced with music. After looking for a seat about 10 minutes.

I chose a mountain seat finally and enjoy music.

Did I am lucky today?

Not only a concert that I can enjoy but a church family also invited me to join their dinner.

So many kind of food made by Keren's husband.

They treated me so nice.

Such huge Oyster、steak、mutton-chop、pork chop and potato salad with a cup of white gourd tea.

I am so satisfy.

Thanks for Keren's family and her friends.

And I am happy about Wang wins the game.

This is my second weekend at SF.

So this is my second time to go to church. Same church,HOLY WORD.

But today,Jane and I decided to go to first at 9.30 and speak English.

I can realize what she said on the stage but I cannot find where bible words is?

So I concentrate at what she said.

Roughly,she told about how God watch each one of us.

Even though there are so many people on the earth. He still watch us personally.

I feel safe after her speech.

Yes! God is watching us , no matter where you are or who you are.

Lunar、Final course and city tour

Lunar design.....

we went to see it and the president John came to receive us.

I guess many friends of mine know about Lunar's podcast.

Thanks Leo for that information,so I listen to it at very first and became a audience loyalty.

I really happy about to see him although he only prepare a ppt just like a routine.

But i still ask some question about sustain design which was last topic in podcast.

My question was that I guess if we can extend product life ,we might lose our job.

Ha, It is a trick question.

He said many stuff about how to extend product life such as design for disassembling or use material properly and finally he said it is always a conflict , I believe it.

My friend of mine know me that I always support sustain.

I just curious about people who support that ,specially product designer.

I still can remember one time ,I discuss that with one friend of mine who work for fashion industry.

Obviously,She don't like it.I am happy someone agree my point.

Friday is last course that we need to take at Zoe design.

Kelly will be our lecturer at forenoon.

Another Lecturer is a market research company.

Kelly prepared many stuff about product process and how to find a target market.

Really good and well prepared lecture.

But maybe sometime his English was so fast that I cannot follow him and missed a lot.

I still learn some thing.

Actually ,one thing.

I can remember what experience used told me how to sever our customer.

I learn how to satisfy customer instead of guide them to right direction.

Sometimes,I fulfill what customer want not people or my desire.

I feel pain and frustrated many times.

Today the lesson who kelly teach us.

I guess many stuff are important but most important to me is that find the true bull's eye.

It is market.

Although,I realize that some clint in Taiwan.

Market always means big buyer or channel and clint only listen to them.

And the only thing they need us is to build a different form for them.

Always a struggle like John used to said.

Afternoon,Steve was our lecturer.

The most interesting thing he shared with us is different point of view.

He showed us many ordinary photos.

But he see it through an extra-ordinary view and it showed different cultural inside.

It is interesting.

I asked him how he can see through this photos?

He said that is what he love to do and getting better and better.

I guess it is.

After class, I came to him and ask one more question.

Steve used to be a one man company.

He just hired an employee.

And sometimes,his clients are big brand.

I am curios about did his client will judge him through his office and how many people

at his company?

He mentioned one time there is one client who came from Japan want to see his office.

But he work at home. ha ha

The result was good of course.

Most of his client will not care about how big his company is?Steve said.

Oh~I love this country.

One&co. and frog .......... we went to there yesterday..

One&co. is a real trendy company.

Through as I stay in Taiwan,I saw his portfolio and look like it is familiar with my old company.

But after this two weeks,I have to said it is real trendy company no matter interior or portfolio.

And what about frog??

It is only company we need to write a document of confidential.

It remind me about how I give that kind paper to our vendor,ha-ha.

the frog we visit is located at SF.

Most project they did is GUI or interface like not product design.

They said product design is at San jose not here.

I feel nothing about that company.

And during lunch time we went to see baseball at AT&T.

It was awesome!!

Actually,only very time I ever play baseball during my junior high.

I don't know why?I guess that there are no friends of mine play that sport,so...

But the feel is good and most important was the place we stood is free.

I like free stuff..... ha-ha.

True-brand&Receiver

the day before yesterday,we went to two different company.

one is True-brand another one is Receiver.

As we came into True-brand,all place are so quiet and little dark.

Look like we enter a place which is an old gentleman live inside.

Then,vincent came in.

and prepared a portfolio powerpoint for us.

many client he sever for are airplane company.I guess one that kind of project will be very helpful on company.

and many other big brand that I never heard before like wellsfargo etc.

Most interesting thing happen after he showed us same their presentation.

An airplane company project,he showed many elegant idea to us. But we saw some ideas are so wild that we cannot believe that are their design.

Kind of scary.

of course we asked the reason why?

he said client always want you try same thing more wild ,no-boundary design.

If you don't do that kind of design,they will asked you to do more.

So that kind of design is for scaring client.

and I asked he what is most important thing inside design?

He said is consistency.

I agree with him.

He also said if you did a great design but without consistency it will be a bad result.

If you did a normal design but have consistency it would be great.

And Receiver?

all stuff left my head which about that company is the slogan hang up the wall.

Absolutly no bu-shitting here.

The boss is so ...... special.

Fisherman wharf&Zoe design

Yesterday we went to fisherman wharf and today we went to Zoe design for class.
Same friend of mine complain about my English writing.
I'm afraid of my poor English is still need to be practice.
So I will writing blog by English.
I like the wharf ,crab and sea lion.
But I don't like acid bread soup at all.
Today we went to Zoe for our training program.
People who doing market research came to help us.
And we do some idea generation practice.
One for morning and one for afternoon.
The one we did at afternoon you can see it at my share photos.
It is a method which called IDEA BOX.
They usually do it with the customer they want to understand not designers.
But I think it is a good idea game for designer too.
Because sometimes we do design just by our own view point.
This game can help us change our mind and direction which we saw products.

Today we went to Whipsaw & designafairs.
Who know the company?answer it.you will get prize....haha
actually,Whipsaw has two parters,one is Daniel's classmate who called Hirotomi,another one I forgot.Jet lag....forgive me..(Dan Harden)
Whipsaw's history I don't want to explain,you might find it on the book,I want to said how I feel..
Hiro the Japanese , he is such a nice guy,answer our question in patience.They don't really have a design style about this company. But as I asked him,what's the most important different between Whipsaw & other design firm?Hiro said it is us(Hiro & Dan).Both of them,are more than 20 years design experience.And they will follow design any one of them.I said really??Because as we in Taiwan,usually there are 3-4 cases in one man,and a company of course, more cases than that.and many other stuff need boss to solve it.you really do see each case?At,first,he said.He and Dan also do design all the time and form model too.I shocked??no,Daniel do that too.Why should I shock?He really give me a familiar feel just like Daniel.Both of them are so passion to design.
designafaies,of course every designer in Taiwan,know Ben a lot.He is a nice guy.And only he, prepared ppt for us.Although , sometimes I fall nap. But guess what,It is the company that we spent most time.
Stephen is another parter who stay in Simems before.I asked him many question from what is American style(cause I used fall once to design for American and he show me a one cup coffee machine he said it is America style, so I ask him),to how you proceed a medical case;why designafairs used to think color & material are so important for a design firms.The most impression is that he mentioned terms which was step,jump and leap.It is means sometimes you design products more than now.Step probably several month,jump 2-3 years and leap 5-6 years up to you.And I also feel a feeling which I called customer judgment.Stephen mentioned several times, He always met customer's opinion didn't agree with him and finally he need to adjust it to what customer want.He is a man who has talented and version I can tell.Still has that kind frustration, no mention designers who in other country.
Today's tour, I like it really like it.....

IDEO..........for real?

Today we went to IDEO.
I don't need to mention how much I like this company again.
But I am not a 3 years old child so yes I went to see it .
Excited maybe......mostly just like a regular tour.
IDEO,kind a dream design company on the US.
today it is Bill Moggridge guide us.
He just published a book which is called Interaction.
And he showed us some of their environment and old works.
Of course,he also said the famous story about when vacation,your office will became a van and how they break the door to drive the car in.
public relationship?of course, same time I think a little promote can help a lot.
Maybe I said maybe same friends of mine will pity about I took few photo about it.
OK I let your guys down.But troust me what I saw today,hear today,you can find it on the book or internet mostly.Don't think you miss something ok? you need be here to feel.That's the real stuff.I can tell you nothing big.That's the answer.Don't believe?try it by yourself.

Another tour we went to Apple store and Stanford.
Not many people there..but as I called for help from a macbook,after ten minures,same one came.
I tried to ask him same thing about my macbookpro.But he is a new fish just came over here for 3 days.so,maybe next time.
I saw one Interesting thing,people in apple store,most of them are aged people.
and few teenager,quick strange.
Because I usually think Apple is a young&creative brand.

How about Stanford?

第一天

今天平安的抵達了舊金山，雖然路上有些小波折，可是結果是很美滿的，很棒！
坐在飛機上的時候，不知道是吃了豆子還是怎樣？肚子一直脹氣，一趟旅程下來我想應該放了二三十個屁吧！真是難為我旁邊的Kyle了，Kyle是我在飛機上認識的美國人，一個腳有點臭的好人，我想我們扯平了。
還有，其實要很感謝阿姨千里迢迢陪我到中正機場，一路上教我很多，阿姨的關愛，讓我很感動。在機場的時候，我並沒有發生像雯絜那樣的連環電話事件，是不是我要檢討我的交友關係阿？哈！
今天是第一天，我還記得Leo和我說的，要把每一天當作兩天在用，也記得阿姨和我說的要正常作息，還有許多朋友的關心與鼓勵，謝謝大家。
對了，Leo還有許多好朋友，我行前沒有找你們出來吃飯，不要生氣喔！實在要出去了，很想安安靜靜的，你們瞭的。

Today I am so happy...
Not only it's holiday ,but also friends of mine and me of course go surfing at WUSHI.
We also play volleyball.The sport I like most...
So.. see you guys after 180 days...

今天，很高興的和朋友一起去了烏石港衝浪，我們不但衝浪還打沙灘排球，我最喜歡的運動之一。
原本我不想去的，已經拒絕大家的好意，但是，經過小毛的遊說下，我還是參加了，這個要感謝小毛。
感謝這個好朋友，了解我扭捏的個性，願意包容且為我辦這樣好玩的活動。
當然除了小毛外，娘、尼尼、小黑、小白、Angal、安妮、安妮的學妹等等好朋友的大力參與，讓我渡過了一個很溫馨有趣的禮拜六。
就在我去美國前的七天。好友們，謝謝.....

Both of contest are team play and both of them are failed.

昨天，看電視看到的那一句話，今天就活生生的驗證了。
當然和最近手很癢，所以又接了一個案子的故事說起。
這個案子與設計比較無關，而是建模型，雖然也是自己設計的東西拉！
首先，是朋友問我說；ㄝ聽說你Render很厲害，給幾張圖來看看吧！
所以我就打開我的作品，突然發現，挖～～我建3D的次數真是少的可憐，
多半也都是時間很趕的情況下，產出的。所以，很汗顏的，給朋友看了圖後，兩人都無語....
話說，今天為了練習我的Alias，就接了這個案子。
做了一天，很高興一天就把東西做的差不多了，結果，一檢查，才發現一個重大的缺失。
我的尺寸居然多了2mm，挖勒～
果然，自己一直不喜歡Check尺寸，還是得了惡果。
全部要重建，雖然第二次比較快，可是對於自己犯了一個這麼菜的錯誤而言，還是不可原諒。
以後自己逃避的東西，要好好想想，也許那就是我能力中的Missing Gap了。
面對面對～～～

話說那美麗的德國雜誌Form，已經創刊五十年了，這本可是我以前每期必讀的雜誌之一，可是後來因為發刊相當不正常，再加上內容後來偏向議論，就越來越少讀了，下面分享線上閱讀的網址，有興趣的人可以上去看看喔 !

很久沒update這個部落格，我想以後就把這裡歸類為設計相關，工作相關的部落格好了，這樣可以與私生活、隨記的那個部落格分開，以後可以透過這裡做些什麼，我也不知道，同樣都是隨筆記記的東西，可以切成兩個 Blog，這真的有點難嚕~!!總之，試試看吧!
